What Sets Me Apart :
Being from a large Irish Roman Catholic Family, I was taught that if you want anything in this life, you must get up everyday and go to work. My up-bringing was not as ideal as the average family and my ten brothers and sisters struggled growing up and achieved everything they wanted and now have today. I am grateful that things did not come to me so easily and that I value now the fruits of my own labor. The candidates that surround me come from the private sector as well. Although I do not intimately know their background and history, they strike me as sincere and honest people who see, as I do, a country going in the wrong direction. But there is definitely is a distinction one may make when reviewing our candidate's and my life experiences. There
are disciplines from two of these gentlemen that involve a legal point
of view and persuasion. The other candidates have concentrations in academia
and government. Believe me; Washington has too much of
these backgrounds already! I endured many poor times, during these last 4 decades working many occupations in my young years or to supplement income raising a family. I spent years working as a dishwasher, waiter, short-order cook, book sales, and maintaining a paper-route while building my career. In the eighties after Suffolk University, I began to work with people who had their own "hard-times". Whether they we're losing their car or their homes, in my position, I worked to help those families with many situations(we now have today) that caused them these setbacks. Un-employment, Illness, and Unexpected Tragedies we're brought during my banking years to resolve for people who had relied on us for help. My Lending experience of almost 30 years an brings understanding of all peoples working backgrounds and what it takes for them to live, save, and spend to afford the American Dream and Free Way of Life. I
have engaged and enjoyed the people who have worked with me my entire
career. I am equally enthusiastic about my next few years of public service
to the taxpayers I will represent.
